Evan Cooper – Gold Coast Lawyer

After completing his secondary schooling in Melbourne, Evan relocated to the Gold Coast to commence his tertiary studies at Bond University. After completing his degree he commenced his articles with Allan Dick Solicitors in 2001. In 2010 he entered partnership in the firm DC Law.

In 2013 a fresh approach to the business of law in South East Queensland was born when he and Matt Maloy created Cooper Maloy Legal.

Evan is the Solicitor | Director responsible for our Criminal and Litigation departments.

Out of the office Evan enjoys Australian Rules Football, Golf & Travelling. He is married with a 2 year old son. He is also a board member of Havafeed, a local charity that assists the homeless and is a regular contributor to the Queensland Traffic Offenders Program. www.qtop.com.au

Matt Maloy – Gold Coast Lawyer

After a decorated 20+ year career in the law with the New South Wales Police force and Queensland police service Matt was admitted to practice and in 2013 joined forces with Evan to create Cooper Maloy Legal.
Matt is the Solicitor | Director responsible for our Family law and Estate departments.
He also undertakes criminal matters. Matt appears regularly in the Magistrates, District, Supreme, Family and Federal Magistrates Courts.

He also is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and dog.

Jessica Stevens – Gold Coast Lawyers

Jessica completed her undergraduate degree in Law and Journalism at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. After completing her training as a solicitor at DC Law she was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in December 2012 and to the High Court of Australia in February 2013.

Jessica’s experience is varied over the areas of general practices offered by the firm including; Criminal Defence, Family Law and Children’s Court. She has a passion for advocacy and enjoys helping others.
